Jr. Entomologist Program
The Pi Chi Omega Jr. Entomologist Program is a free educational initiative designed to inspire curiosity about insects and the field of entomology among young learners. Developed by professional entomologists, the program offers downloadable PowerPoint presentations, pre-recorded video sessions, and customizable certificates of completion.
Tailored for various age groups, it provides age-appropriate content that explores the roles of insects and rodents in our environment, highlighting both their beneficial contributions and potential as pests. Additionally, the program introduces students to career opportunities in pest management, biology, and public health. Ideal for educators, summer camp leaders, scout troop coordinators, and anyone leading children's programs, this versatile resource can be seamlessly integrated into classrooms, camps, and community centers. By presenting this program, facilitators can ignite a passion for entomology in children and potentially guide them toward future careers in the field.
Jr. Entomologist Middle and High School Program
Building upon the Jr. Entomologist program for elementary-aged learners, Pi Chi Omega is thrilled to announce an exciting addition to the educational content that is built to connect with older youth and adolescents in middle school and high school. This addition includes a range of new activities and educational resources designed to spark interest in the pest management industry and prepare the next generation for exciting career opportunities. Both of these curricula can be adapted to age up or down depending on the age group being presented to.
