Pi Chi Omega Continues to Raise the Bar at the 2025 Purdue Pest Management Conference
At Purdue, Pi Chi Omega hosted its signature "Raise the Bar" social event, providing an energizing evening for members, friends, and colleagues to connect, network, and celebrate the pest management profession. The social gathering continues to be a vital part of the fraternity’s effort to build relationships, foster professional development, and welcome new members into the fold.
One of the highlights of the Purdue event was the 50/50 raffle fundraiser, a friendly competition that supported Pi Chi Omega's scholarship and industry grant initiatives. Purdue’s attendees rallied impressively, raising $940 through ticket sales. In a spirit of generosity, the raffle winner donated $180 of their prize back to Pi Chi Omega, bringing the total Purdue contribution to $650. These funds will directly enhance Pi Chi Omega's mission of empowering students and professionals in the pest management field.
Special thanks to Dale Baker with J.T. Eaton, and Tom Mueller with Insects Ltd.(also Pi Chi Omega’s Secretary) for their generous financial support of Raise the Bar. Their dedication of time and energy to manage the event logistics was equally invaluable. Thanks to their efforts, the Purdue Raise the Bar event was a resounding success. Attendees enjoyed a welcoming atmosphere focused on knowledge-sharing and camaraderie, and the fraternity was excited to collect five completed nomination forms for new members during the event.
Looking ahead, Pi Chi Omega’s next major membership meeting will take place during the NPMA’s PestWorld 2025 in Orlando, Florida. The Pi Chi Omega Board of Directors is pleased to share the return of our Winter 2026 Membership Meeting to Purdue for the 90th Anniversary of the Purdue Pest Management Conference. With strong momentum in the first quarter, the fraternity is poised for another exciting year of growth, collaboration, and impact across the industry.
