On Saturday, August 23rd, Pi Chi Omega’s lost its longtime Executive Director. Vern Toblan passed away peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by his loving family. Vern was known for his many contributions to both Pi Chi Omega and the pest management industry. He will be missed by Pi Chi Omega and others in the industry.
On Sunday, Vern’s daughter posted the following on his Facebook account.
“Our dad Vern passed away early Saturday morning, in Seasons Hospice at Christiana Hospital. Myself, his cousin Heidi Ross, her daughter Katherine Ross, and even his beloved dog Frannie were able to be there at his side. My brother Blair Toblan is arriving tonight as well. Dad did not want a funeral, or any flowers, so we’ll decide on a small event and will let you know. Donations in his name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society would be welcome. What he would want would be for all of you to go out and have a good meal and maybe raise a glass of wine to his memory. Share a picture and your memories with us here, if you wish.”
