The Pi Chi Omega Awards: Celebrating Excellence

Each year, Pi Chi Omega proudly honors members who go above and beyond in service, generosity, and professional contribution. Through three distinguished awards, we celebrate individuals whose dedication uplifts both our fraternity and the broader pest management industry pichiomega.org.

1. Award of Achievement
Purpose: To acknowledge long-standing members whose outstanding service has had a lasting, positive effect on Pi Chi Omega and our profession.

Eligibility Requirements: 

• Minimum of 10 years of membership in Pi Chi Omega (service need not be as a board member)
  Active, in good standing
• A record of exceptional contributions—demonstrated through leadership, program development, or significant impact within the organization or industry pichiomega.org

2. Generosity Award
Purpose: To recognize members whose generous spirit—through time, talent, financial support, or innovative ideas—has significantly strengthened Pi Chi Omega.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Current member in good standing
• Demonstrable significant contributions that advance Pi Chi Omega’s mission—this could include financial gifts, leadership in events, volunteer efforts, or strategic initiatives

3. Publications of Professional Services Award
Purpose: To honor members who have enriched the field by publishing scientific or professional work—articles, books, or peer-reviewed research—that benefits the pest management industry.

Eligibility Requirements:

• At least one author must be a Pi Chi Omega member in good standing
• The work must be scientific in nature, appearing in recognized journals, industry publications, or formal books
• The publication should provide a clear, positive contribution to professional knowledge and industry practices 
• If a published work has multiple authors and includes more than one Pi Chi Omega member, each will be recognized.

How Nominees are Selected
Anyone can submit a Nomination Form. The committee encourages nominators to invest thoughtful effort into their submissions by providing specific details about the nominee’s contributions and impact on Pi Chi Omega and/or the pest management industry. The committee bases their decisions on the information provided on the form, so be sure to be profusive about the person you are putting forward!

Nominations must be submitted via the Pi Chi Omega nominations portal by August 15, 2025.

The Pi Chi Omega review committees will evaluate all submissions and select the recipients based on eligibility, impact, and alignment with Pi Chi Omega’s mission.
